About

How We Began

During a twenty-year journey of friendship and cooperation, Heather Johnston established uniquely significant and meaningful ties with Israeli leaders, including Prime Ministers, Cabinet Ministers, local government leaders, scientific, educational, military and business leaders that laid the foundations for USIEA to begin educating and connecting leaders in 2011. We value the Judeo-Christian heritage and the historical and spiritual significance of Israel; therefore our relationships are based on deep mutual respect and open dialogue.

Heather Johnston, Executive Director, USIEA

Heather has personally led the way in building the strategic relationships and providing the relevant perspective that makes USIEA a valued resource to U.S. and Israeli leaders. In partnership with former Mayor Ron Nachman, Heather helped establish the National Leadership Center, located in Ariel, the capital city of Samaria.

Today the Center hosts groundbreaking programs that have given more than 43,000 Israeli and Arab youth the opportunity to meet and participate in a unique experiential learning adventure.

Ari Sacher, Director of Education, USIEA

Ari Sacher has spent over twenty-five years in the design and development of missiles. As Senior System Engineer for Raphael Advanced Defence Systems, he helped develop Iron Dome and David’s Sling. He has briefed hundreds of U.S. Congressmen on Israeli Missile Defence, and is a highly requested speaker who has appeared on CNN, Fox News, i24news, and the Discovery Channel.

In November 2017, Ari became the Director of Education at USIEA, leading the development of USIEA’s dynamic education programs, and interfacing regularly with members of Congress and their staff.
